Hi, I'm Sam!
My journey into the world of psychology and neuro-affirming care didn't start in a lecture hall, it started with IV poles, tubes, and a lot of resilience. Growing up as someone facing life-changing chronic illnesses, I spent a lot of time in the hospital praying to be "normal." Over time, however, I realized something - what if my chronic illnesses could be my greatest strength?
Today, I am combining that personal insight with my academic foundation. Currently pursuing my A.S. in general studies, I am layering my lived experience with growing specialized certifications in neurodiversity, psychology, behavioral health, and healthcare. My work is fueled by a commitment to neuro-affirming practices that celebrate every learner.
As a future pediatric healthcare worker, I aspire to combine my passion for helping others with the lived experience of growing up navigating the healthcare system. Through it all - one thing remains clear to me: I am building a bridge between theory and reality. Whether I am pursuing literature reviews, online certifications, or creating digital downloads, my goal remains the same: to create inclusive, accessible, and joyful environments where sick, neurodivergent, and disabled children can thrive.
